Privacy policy

How BUEF handles your information — in plain terms. We collect as little as possible, use it only to reply, and never sell it.

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains what information British Ukrainian Economic Future (“BUEF”) collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us at info@buef.uk.

The short version

  • We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t track you around the web.
  • If you use the contact form, your message is emailed to our team and used only to reply to you.
  • We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count visits and measure page speed — never to profile you.
  • We don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.

The contact form

When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you choose to give us — your name, email address, organisation (optional), the type of enquiry, and your message. We use them for one purpose: to respond to you and follow up on your enquiry.

Your message reaches us as an email. This website does not save it to any database — there is no store of enquiries behind the site. The email itself sits in our inbox like any message you would send us, and we keep it only as long as we need to handle your enquiry.

To protect the form from spam and abuse, we briefly check technical signals — such as how the form was submitted and a one-way “hashed” identifier derived from your network address. These checks are transient and expire automatically; we don’t build a profile from them.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site. It is privacy-friendly: it sets no cookies, doesn’t identify you, and doesn’t track you across other websites. We see trends and totals, not individuals.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie-consent banner. Your browser may use ordinary, strictly-necessary storage to make the site work, but nothing that follows you elsewhere.

Who helps us run the site

A small number of trusted providers process data on our behalf so the site can work:

  • Vercel — hosting and the cookie-free analytics above. Standard technical request data, such as your IP address, is processed to serve and protect the site.
  • Resend — delivers the email from the contact form to our team.
  • Sanity — the content management system that holds the site’s text and images. It handles our editors’ logins, not visitors’.

Each provider acts under its own privacy terms and only to provide its service to us.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you — in practice, any enquiry you have emailed us — and ask us to correct or delete it. Just email info@buef.uk and we’ll help. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data-protection law, including the UK GDPR.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date shown above.
